Baritone. Born in 1992, Mikołaj Trąbka graduated from the Academy of Music in Łódź in 2016, having studied under professor Piotr Miciński. In 2013–2016 he trained also at the Opera Academy, the Young Talents Development Programme of the Teatr Wielki – Polish National Opera, under Eytan Pessen, with whom he continues to work, along with Neil Shicoff.
 What is more, he participated in masterclasses led by Andrzej Dobber, Izabela Kłosińska, Urszula Kryger, Sergei Leiferkus, Udo Reinemann, Matthias Rexroth and Edith Wiens.

He was awarded scholarships from the Polish Ministry of Culture and National Heritage and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education in 2014 and 2015, respectively.

He has sung roles of Figaro in Rossini’s Il Barbiere di Siviglia and Pappacoda in Strauss II’s Eine Nacht in Venedig (Grand Theatre in Łódź); Papageno in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte, Stach in Stefani’s Cud, albo Krakowiacy i Górale and Steuerman in Wagner’s Tristan und Isolde (Teatr Wielki – Polish National Opera); Harlekin in R. Strauss’s Ariadne auf Naxos (Oper Frankfurt and Deutsche Oper am Rhein); Andrei in Eötvös’s Tri Sestry, Conte Ceprano and Marullo in Verdi’s Rigoletto and Morales and Dancairo in Bizet’s Carmen, Zweiter Handwerksbursch in A. Berg’s Wozzeck, Nicholas in Barber’s Vanessa, Donald in Britten’s Billy Budd and John Shears in Paul Bunyan (Oper Frankfurt); Karol Poznański in the world premiere of Korcz’s Łódź Story (Łódź, Bydgoszcz); and Don Tabarano in Hasse’s La Contadina (Schlosstheater Rheinsberg). In 2017 he joined Komische Oper Berlin’s tour in South Korea as Papageno.

He has given concerts at the Lublin Philharmonic, the festival Kilar+ in Gdańsk, the National Opera in Bucharest, the Grand Theatre in Łódź, The Musical Theatre in Gliwice, with Sinfonia Varsovia and Warsaw Chamber Opera.

He won the Stella Maris International Vocal Competition and Glanzlichter der Oper in Rheinsberg and was awarded a special prize at the Grand Prix de l’Opera in Bucharest, International Giulio Perotti Singing Competition in Ueckermünde and Belcanto Per Sempre in Włocławek.

He was a member of Opernstudio at Oper Frankfurt in 2016-2018 and he joined the ensemble of the opera in 2018.
